Have you wished that you could sit down and document your life story?
It maybe something that you might have thought of doing yourself, or have started but have not had time to finish.
Sometimes events in life take over, memories become less vivid and may even fade altogether.
I offer a full life highlights writing service called "Leave a Legacy" that you may be interested in for yourself or your loved one.
They make wonderful gift experiences for friends or family too.
Younger generations are fascinated with people's life stories, I myself created a Leave a Legacy book and my 10 year old son read it and couldn't put it down.

A full consultation meeting, to get detailed information around your life story.
These meetings typically last 2 hours and any family members can also be present if you would like this.
The typical areas covered in these meetings are:
- Details of family, birth dates and places.
- Childhood memories and stories of growing up.
- Early adult memories, for example marriage etc.
- Job History and any stories associated with that.
- Family history, Children, Grandchildren and other relationships.
- Friendships.
- Hobbies and interests.
- Recent years.
Following the meeting, I will produce a beautifully written life story.
Your story will be sent to you for approval. Once approved, your story can be turned into a life story book, in the format according to the package you choose.
Additional copies would make beautiful gifts for loved ones to pass down as a living history.
Gift experience vouchers are also available, as the whole life highlights experience could also be very up-lifting and a lovely experience for a loved one for special birthdays or Christmas.

Workshops for groups and organisations
The concept of Leave a Legacy is surrounding the importance of family memories and how these memories can best be recalled and recorded.
Here at Seasons Celebrant, we offer fun and interactive sessions , aiming to get people talking and remembering their key life events based on the concept of "The seasons".
As a professional body who work with people, you must know many individuals and their families who may be keen to get involved and have a natter about their life stories over a cup of tea and perhaps biscuits or cake and we at Seasons Celebrant can help that happen.
We can design and tailor workshops for your charity, organisation or place of retirement, with the individual needs of your specific demographic in mind.
Ideally, these workshops are for 10 people (but we would consider up to 20) at a time and would follow the basic structure as outlined below:
Generally lasting 1 hour, it gives people everything they need to begin their own Leave a Legacy journey.
The session would typically be run as follows:
- Introduction to Leave a Legacy, what it is and how it can help you share your life highlights.
- The importance of memories.
- Social history and Genealogy and how they can input into Leaving a Legacy.
- Images and Music.
- How life and historical events can have an impact on shaping who we are.
- Now comes the fun part, giving people the chance to talk about their memories in a relaxed, laid back way with a little practice on recalling memories over tea and cake perhaps.
- Come back together to find out how people got on and what they thought of the experience.
- Summary and feedback.
At the end of the session, people get to take away a Leave a Legacy toolkit full of Leave a Legacy ideas, a notepad for beginning their Leave a Legacy journey.
We appreciate that this may not be suitable for all of the people you have contact with as part of your organisation, however with your input and support, content or logistics could be tailored to the specific target audience you have in mind, for example smaller groups or support from family etc. We aim to be as flexible as we can, whilst still ensuring Leave a Legacy is meaningful to the audience you have in mind.
